Petition to remove Sunland Bike Lanes

Bike lanes in Sunland Tujunga: During the La Tuna fire several weeks ago the detriment the installation of bike lanes at the transition from Foothill and Sunland Blvd. became a recipe for disaster. The issue, unlike other neighboring communities, is an entire lane in each direction was removed to add these bike lanes. The backup from traffic caused emergency vehicles to be stuck in traffic and evacuations to be halted dead in their tracks. These bike lanes are excessive.

Residents of Sunland Tujunga have serious and valid safety concerns. They are asking people to have the current bike lane configuration removed and two lanes in both directions re-established. Read the article, click here.   Ready to sign the petition, click here.

California High Speed Rail

California High-Speed Rail: Do you know what is going on in your own backyard? Quality video and pretty music appear to make it glorious that they are drilling and sampling so they can prepare to tunnel and dig through the Angels National Forest. Take a look at the video.

Curious where the current proposed Burbank to Palmdale routes are? Click this link to view the maps and you can easily see the path through the Angeles Forest as well as the proposed above grade bridge that could span the entire width of the Tujunga wash next to Hansen Dam.

Crescenta Commons - View from Above

Crescenta Commons the beautiful garden on the corner of Rosemont and Orange in La Crescenta. The video depicts a new vantage point, a view from above. A few things you may not know; There is a time capsule inside the monument, the VFW/Amercian Legion help maintain the flag, every year a group of 3rd and 6th graders from Monte Vista Elementary volunteer to help maintain the site, "Crescenta Commons Kids" and the site is funded through donations.
