December Community Corner

December Community Corner is all about Celebration and events in the Foothill communities. From Tree lightings to parades surely there is something for everyone. Enjoy the La Crescenta Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 5th. at the La Crescenta Library. Events for the kids start in the Library at 4:30 pm, then music in the courtyard at 5:30 followed by a spectacular Tree Lighting ceremony at 6:30 pm.


Check out all of the wonderful events throughout the month of December. wonderful weekend traditions of horse-drawn trolley and pony rides, strolling carolers, Christmas music and Santa Claus continue this year! The horse-drawn trolley provides complimentary rides up and down Honolulu Avenue on Saturdays and Sundays. Free hand-led pony rides are available for the kids on Saturdays and Santa Claus can be seen strolling and handing out candy canes Saturdays and Sundays. There will be live Christmas music on the streets and an expanded Kid’s Zone in the Sunday Market that includes a petting zoo! See all the details click here.

La Crescenta:
3rd annual La Crescenta Christmas Tree Lighting SPonsored by LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger. Hosted at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. Co-hosts of the event are The Friends of the La Crescenta Library and ASTER a non-profit for seniors. A wonderful event full of music and fun for the entire community. December 5th at the La Crescenta Library.

La Canada-Flintridge:
On Friday, December 1 starting at 4 p.m., the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce transforms the city’s Memorial Park into a winter wonderland as its annual Festival in Lights returns for a 23rd year.
