Get ready for snow, La Crescenta and the Foothill community. Saturday, December 6th is shaping up to be a very special day. The forecast is calling for flurries at 10 a.m., and how can that prediction be so accurate? Because it is time once again for Robbyn Battles annual Free Photos with Santa and Snow event. (Use password SNOW) This will be Robbyn Battles fourth year hosting it at the JohnHart Real Estate Campus, 2428 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta 91214 and after skipping last year, I could not be more excited to bring it back with a fun new twist.
In the past, this has always been an evening event with sleds gliding down snowy hills. This year, we are moving it to the morning, which is perfect because December 6th is filled with community traditions. Starting your morning with Santa, snow, and neighbors is the best way to kick off a day that ends with the beloved Montrose Christmas Parade.
And if you are a senior, this year is especially for you. I am setting up a warm and inviting Senior Lounge with comfortable seating, free coffee, and big picture windows so you can relax indoors and enjoy all the fun happening outside. You are welcome to step out for photos with Santa, or simply enjoy the view and the company. Pets are absolutely welcome to join you for photos as well, we just ask that they skip the snow play yard.
Because this event draws so many families every year, tickets are free but registration is required. Be sure to click the link below and register for your free tickets. When prompted for a password, enter SNOW in all caps. At some point, the password requirement may be removed, but if it appears, you will need to enter it to complete the registration.

- Snow Play Yard: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Senior Lounge: Cozy seating, treats, complimentary coffee, and large windows to enjoy the festivities
- Pets Welcome: Bring your pets for photos, just keep them out of the snow
Once Santa finishes photos at noon, he gets a well deserved break before heading down to Montrose for the annual Christmas Parade later that evening. It is one of the best small town Christmas parades you will ever experience, full of lights, marching bands, local groups, and the kind of holiday cheer that brings the whole community together. Start your morning with us, end your evening on Honolulu Avenue, and make Saturday, December 6th a full day of holiday memories.
